Tokyo and Singapore, 22 July 2020 – AT TOKYO Corporation (AT TOKYO) and RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI) jointly announced today that RTI has selected AT TOKYO thereby extending onward connectivity solutions between Asia, Australia, and the United States.
JGA North is Ready for Service
Singapore, 6 July 2020 – RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI) and NEC Corporation (NEC) jointly announced the successful completion of the Japan-Guam-Australia North Cable System (JGA North). JGA North is approximately 2,700 kilometres in length and lands in Minami-Boso, Japan and Piti, Guam. The cable has an initial design capacity of 24 terabits per second (24 Tbps) minimum, increasing to 30 Tbps in the coming year.
JGA South is Ready for Service
A consortium including RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI), AARNet Pty Ltd (AARNet) and Google announced that the construction of the Japan-Guam-Australia South Cable System (JGA South) has been successfully completed and is ready for service. The approximately 7,000-kilometer fibre optic submarine cable system between Piti, Guam and Sydney, Australia with a branch to the Sunshine Coast, will have an initial design capacity of more than 36 terabits per second (36 Tbps). The Sunshine Coast branch is the first undersea fibre optic cable to land on the east coast of Australia outside of Sydney.

RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI) announced today that it has selected Equinix, Inc. (Equinix), the global interconnection and data center company, to extend its connectivity solutions in Tokyo, Japan and Sydney, Australia.
JGA South Connects Australia’s Sunshine Coast
RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI) announced today that the Japan-Guam-Australia (JGA) South Sunshine Coast branch has successfully landed at Maroochydore in Queensland, Australia. JGA South is the first fibre optic undersea cable to land on Australia’s East Coast, outside of Sydney’s landing zone. RTI’s network will also directly connect the Sunshine Coast to Sydney and Guam, with onward direct and seamless connectivity to the rest of Asia and the West Coast of the United States.
JAPAN-GUAM-AUSTRALIA CABLE SYSTEM LANDS IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI) announced today that the Japan-Guam-Australia South Cable System's (JGA-S) main lay between Sydney, Australia and Piti, Guam is fully underway following last week's remarkable landing in Sydney, Australia. JGA-S is a joint build among RTI, Google and AARNet, remains on schedule, and is expected to be commercially available in the first quarter of 2020.
